A number of useful drawing tools are made available. The drawing canvas is a fixed size, so the user doesn't need to worry about 'pixels' or 'inches' when making a new picture. The entire program fits on a screen as small as 640x480, and can be displayed full-screen, to hide the computer's underlying 'desktop' interface. (It defaults to 800x600 mode, but can run at larger sizes and in portrait or landscape mode, as well.). Loading and saving of images is done using thumbnails, so no knowledge of the underlying operating system's filesystem structure is needed. Even filenames are unnecessary.

What's new in this version:
Numerous New Tools Added:
Rotation Tool and "Eraser" Fill Mode:
- A new "Rotate" tool can rotate a drawing at arbitrary angles; it can be found alongside the zoom and perspective tools. The "Fill" tool now includes an "Eraser" mode that replaces a contiguous area of color with the drawing's original background, exposing parts of the background color or template image.
Crescent, Fractal, and Spray Paint Tools:
- The new "Crescent" tool allows drawing different shapes and sizes of crescents. Four different "Fractal" tools make it easy to create interesting shapes that shrink or grow and rotate as they repeat. The new "Spray Paint" tool simulates paint from a spray can or airbrush.
ASCII Art and Comic Dots Tools:
- A variety of "ASCII Art" tools can convert parts of a drawing to characters from a typewriter or a monochrome or color computer monitor. The "Comic Dots" tool simulates the "Ben Day Process" that was used to add shading and color to early comic books.
Spiral, Concentric, and Tessellation Tools:
- The new "Spiral" and "Square Spiral" tools can draw round and rectangular spiral shapes of different thicknesses and radiuses.
- New "Concentric Circle" and "Concentric Square" tools draw concentric shapes.
- The "Tessellation Pointy" and "Tessellation Flat" tools draw repeating tessellation patterns using pointy- and flat-topped hexagons, respectively.
