Restream is a cloud-powered multimedia streaming dashboard that allows internet video content creators to simplify the process of online distribution, and automatically re-route their video streaming session to over 30 of the most popular video streaming platforms that include not only large giants such as Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, but also a wide array of little gem platforms.
Built from the ground up to be as versatile as possible, It allows everyone from single-user productions to large video production teams to maximize their distribution pattern, and take full control of their online presence with incredible flexibility and access to advanced premium tools.
In its most basic form, It allows users to stream to more than 30 online streaming platforms with the click of a single button. This is done with the Restream Studio app that interfaces directly with the most popular video recording utilities used today on macOS such as OBS, XSplit, Elgato, and even video chat platform Zoom.
Advanced tools present in the premium license tiers unlock an incredible variety of useful services such as the ability to stream pre-recorded videos, stream to Facebook Pages or Groups, remove branding logos, stream directly from the browser, set many useful chat overlays, access very useful cross-platform analytics that keeps track of all viewers and chats users, access camera and audio switching from the streamlined dashboard, get insights on the health of the streams, and get tools for creating video hosting server at home. The most exclusive feature that is accessible only in the most expensive Business license tier is the failsafe stream backup service.
It is important to note that Restream will not affect users' video quality, with only differences in the client video reproduction being present due to final platform real-time transcoding. Restream supports streaming in full HD resolution, stereo audio, and it does not require the user to waste more bandwidth any time he adds another streaming destination for his video session. This is done by routing a single video upload to the Restream servers, where that video is multiplied in real-time and send to dozens of target video streaming services. The only side effect of that procedure is a slight (up to 2 seconds) delay.
