What's new in this version:

- We’re using the amazing (and sometimes amazingly difficult) abilities of recent AI breakthroughs to tackle Tinderbox issues old and new. There’s a ton of good news in this release.
- This update approaches the scope of major releases, and it’s only two months removed from Tinderbox 11.5. Our world has changed.

Claude Code:
- Tinderbox now offers integration with Claude Code as well as Claude Desktop and Gemini. This gives you remarkable power to employ AI assistants to extend and organize your notes. For an example, see this recent Tinderbox Meetup with Andreas Grimm.

More Powerful Find:
- The Find Bar now offers an option to search using Tinderbox queries, making it easier than ever to find what you’re looking for.

MultiMarkdown:
- Tinderbox now offers MultiMarkdown alongside Markdown, CommonMark, and Tinderbox’s own superb styled text support. MultiMarkdown offers a number of terrific extensions; for examples in use, see this recent Tinderbox Meetup with Jacob Evans.

Command Bar:
- The Command Bar (Help ▸ Commands and Info) has been extended with information about every Tinderbox operator

Infrastructure:
- Many annoyances—some of long standing—have been resolved. Map views are more stable, and the ⌘⌥^ overview is completely accurate. The sometimes-recalcitrant pane splitter now comports itself with grace. Inspectors have better layout. Popovers no longer outstay their welcome.
