Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Bowtie 1.0.

What's new in this version:

Bowtie 1.0 is the first official, non-beta release of Bowtie. It offers full compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5 (PPC/Intel) and 10.6 (Intel), with 64-bit support for Intel. Bowtie 1.0 adds support for Bowtie for iPhone, which allows you to control your iPhone or iPod touch's music player from the comfort of your desktop or laptop Mac — kind of like Apple's Remote.app, but in reverse. It is available for 99¢ on the App Store.

Features Added
- Now 64-bit on Intel, with full support for Snow Leopard
- Uses the new Scribbler framework for Last.fm, which adds support for Loving and Banning tracks
- Uses the {13bold} Theme Browser, a la Bluebird
- A new artwork loading and rendering system decreases memory usage and load time
- The new feedback bezel gives you instant feedback when you press a hotkey, and provides information about the success or failure of a Last.fm Love/Ban

Bugs Fixed
- Memory usage has been decreased significantly
- All memory leaks appear to have been plugged
- An issue that could cause Bowtie to crash when iTunes was quit has now been fixed
- Miscellaneous other bug fixes and patches

Caveats and Known Issues
- This build will reset your preferences to their defaults
- Search has been temporarily removed, as the user experience was not up to our quality standards
