Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of VNC Server 7.15.0.

What's new in this version:

New:
- Adds support for the RealVNC On-Premise Management Console — Our self-hosted, browser-based console that gives Enterprise customers centralized control over their on-premise deployment, letting them manage users and devices, track license usage, and keep a record of session activity.
- RealVNC Server running in Service Mode now lets you view and control an active Remote Desktop (RDP) session, for example, in a Terminal Services environment. To enable this feature, enable the FollowRDP parameter found in the Expert section of RealVNC Server’s Options.
- The PowerWarn parameter has been added to RealVNC Server to disable the Warning message shown in RealVNC Server's Information Center when the device is set to sleep or running on battery power.

- fixed: An issue that could cause RealVNC Server in Virtual Mode to crash when a RealVNC Viewer disconnects has been resolved
- security: Fixed a local privilege escalation in Windows caused by directory creation before installation
- fixed: An issue on Mac devices where updating RealVNC Server from within a remote session prevented reconnection to that updated RealVNC Server
- improved: You can now configure how long backup log files are stored using the LogKeepDays parameter
