- Removing the Melodyne ARA from the track with the Commit option will no longer shift clip gain of underlying clips
- Dragging the selection of non-ARA and ARA clips to a multichannel track will no longer result in an irrelevant inactive track state and a proper warning will be shown
- Fixed the case where ARA edits from original session would overwrite the ARA edits on a clip in a new session copy saved via 'Save Session As'
- ARA edits will no longer be lost upon opening a session saved as the backup (“.recovered”) session over the original session file with the “replace“ (same name) option chosen
- Fixed a case where some clips would lose ARA edits when creating a session from template which was saved with ARA clips
- Removing Melodyne ARA from the track with "Commit" option will now render all channels of the multichannel clip for the sessions created with Pro Tools version prior to 2024.3

Audio Playback:
- Audio no longer disappears after switching between sessions of different sample rates and activating DSP mode

Automation:
- Coalesce Pan Guide Automation now only affects selected tracks
- Existing automation no longer stops playing back, when writing VCA automation, the sum of the values exceeds the maximum values allowed for the track
- Greatly improved the accuracy and determinism of plugin automation
- Underlying plugin automation now follows tempo ruler changes immediately after the change. Previously, the automation lane UI would, but the underlying data would not until session reopen
- Tempo operations on a tick based elastic audio track no longer affect the playback of automation for other tracks in the session
- Improved automation accuracy for the first buffer of playback on host-based systems
- Plugin automation ramps in empty areas of the timeline now affect audio immediately when rendered offline
- Automation breakpoints are now immediately respected when the playhead is 1 sample before the last breakpoint of a volume automation ramp

Delay Compensation (Audio):

Delay Compensation (MIDI/VI):
- Instrument tracks were not delay compensated correctly on PT 2024.6
- Online track bounce of Instrument tracks with tempo synced virtual instruments and hardware inserts would land late when buffer size was set between 512-2048
- Tempo synced (MIDI Beat Clock) virtual instruments would play out of sync after changing the 2048 buffer to 1024 when jumping between sessions that had different sample rates
- Plugins with latency would cause plugin’s sequencer to start early and play out of time
- Virtual instruments with internal sequencing/Midi Beat clock capabilities were playing out of sync (late) in sessions that had plugins that introduced delay

Dolby Atmos™ Workflows:
- Tracks that are assigned directly to a Dolby Atmos bed or object will no longer automatically go into DSP mode with the Hybrid Engine when record enabled or input monitored. This prevents higher than expected "input counts" on HDX or Pro Tools Carbon
- The trim and downmix window now retains the chosen preset name
- Automation no longer plays early for live Dolby Atmos rerenders after changing sample rate and buffer size from 96kHz 2048 to 48kHz 1024.
- Pro Tools no longer crashes when disabling the internal Dolby Atmos renderer while the renderer window is showing, after toggling Bed/Object mutes in the renderer window
- Fixed UI glitches in the Dolby Atmos renderer window on macOS Sonoma (and up) on Intel machines
- Improved dialog that appears when dragging a WAV BWF ADM into the Clip List

Editing:
- Improved performance when moving the Edit Selection up/down with the P and ; keys when there are many tracks in the session
- Beat Detective Selection Start/End bar fields will now accept four-digit bar numbers
- Adjusting the clip gain of multiple copies of clip groups will no longer disband the clip groups
- ARA, Clip Effects, Clip Gain menu items will no longer be populated in the Folder, Video, MIDI and Instrument track context menus as they don't apply to these track types
- Cutting clips with Object Grabber tool will no longer deselect the track if it has been previously selected

Elastic Audio:
- Pro Tools will no longer crash when applying Elastic Audio on clips with Fades if Layered Editing is enabled

Export / Bounce:
- Improved automation timing between channels when bus recording, online bouncing, or online committing tracks with multi-mono native plugins
- Default MP3 quality is now set to "Highest Quality"
- ID3 metadata is now persisted with the session after bouncing to MP3.
- Fixed a crash on bounce that may occur if some video files are missing
- Folder Tracks:
- "Select Assignments to..." would unhide hidden tracks.
- Hidden folder tracks can now be expanded and collapsed in the track list after opening a session
- Improved the activation time when removing tracks from an inactive folder track

Import:
- Output assignments can be ignored when importing session data without needing to deselect both "Main Output Assignment" AND "Bed/Object Assignment and Toggle Setting" for Dolby Atmos related outputs
- The full timeline range of a 192 kHz session can now be imported into a lower sample rate session without removing clips
- The Clip List search is no longer invalidated if a file is copied or converted upon import
- The marker tab is now grayed out in the Import Session Data window when there are no markers to import, eliminating the need to visit the tab and check
- It's now possible to cascade marker ruler mapping in the Import Session Data window by using cmd+opt (mac) / ctrl+alt (win)
- The destination track selector no longer disappears in the Import Session Data window when importing from a large session
- Improved Import Session Data window performance with large sessions
- It's no longer possible to assign more than one track to the same destination in the Import Session Data window
- Using a modifier to match tracks in the Import Session Data window now only applies to the active track or marker tab
- M4A files are no longer truncated after import
- Keyboard Shortcuts:
- macOS Sonoma & Sequoia: all "Modifier+Arrow Key" context menu navigation was broken
- Keyboard shortcut presets that are stored in a subfolder will now be remembered upon reopening the keyboard shortcuts window
- The Windows ALT key is now recognized by Pro Tools when connecting remotely or using the on-screen keyboard
- Custom Keyboard Shortcuts will now be correctly preserved when switching between sessions with different sample rate settings (this could cause Pro Tools to crash with certain hotkeys previously)

Live Sound:
- Create Session from Venue' will now receive Venue Show file name as the session name when switching the Venue S6L side Virtual Soundcheck destination between AVB and MADI

Markers / Memory Locations:
- Memory Location Window "Factory Default" and default 1-5 preset buttons now enable "Follow Timeline" and sort the list by time ascending
- The repeat command is once again functional for markers
- Fixed an assertion that would occur when using Paste Special>Repeat to Fill on a marker ruler
- It's now possible to recall a memory location by number when it is filtered out of the list
- Selection memory locations now restart playback when recalled
- Text entry in the Memory Location Window filter boxes is now preserved with the session
- Marker color in Color Palette is now updated after recalling a memory location via a key command
- Marker color in Memory Location Window is now immediately updated when changing the color from the Color Palette
- Improved marker drag responsiveness when a selection is present
- The preference to set "Default Clip Color Coding" to "Marker Ruler Location" now functions again. It follows the top-most ruler, even if not shown
- Pasting at exactly a marker location will now leave that marker in place, rather than deleting or shuffling later
- Importing a session will now import markers with a 'default' marker color as black

Media Composer Interoperability:
- The naming convention for duplicate files in a Media Composer Compatible Session (.ptxm) export has been updated to use '(#)' instead of '_1', which prevents errors on import to Media Composer
- Fixed a crash that could occur when opening some Session exports from Media Composer

MIDI:
- MIDI Beat Clock from Pro Tools to external devices would send erratic signal
- Window Configurations would fail to save/recall Plugin and track automation lanes on targeted MIDI Editors
- "Include MIDI lanes in Display Settings" checkbox would be grayed out when Window Configuration was pointing towards an untargeted MIDI Editor window
- When selected, the notes would have the wrong color when in "By Track" visualization mode
- Event Operations > "Transpose All Notes To" could not be set lower than C0
- In certain cases, MIDI notes would disappear from the UI during playback
- Velocity parameter automation lane would be displayed when deselecting all tracks from the MIDI Editors display
- Attempting to restore a Window Configuration that included saved settings for targeted MIDI Editors would fail to restore the MIDI lanes to saved settings if the Editor has been closed beforehand
- Changing the Session Key would display the content of all MIDI tracks in the MIDI Editor
- Virtual MIDI Keyboard would not record when "Wait For Note" mode was enabled
- When connected to a HUI Devices, notes that were not played would appear (usually C-2)
- Editing a saved untargeted MIDI Editor Window Configuration and changing window mode to targeted would lead to crash
- The selected MIDI clip would persist on showing up in the MIDI Event List window, instead of the clicked clip
- Notes on MIDI Editor would not be adjacent on certain zoom levels
- MIDI Editor octaves "-1" and "-2" would visually appear very close to "1" and "2"
- MIDI clips would be split by every 1 bar automatically when Step Input was enabled
- Quantizing a note at the start of a clip would cause the note to disappear
- Mixing:
- "Side %" knob has been removed for 9.x.x panning formats, as it did not function

Performance:
- There are no longer performance issues when "Usage and Diagnostic Data Collection" is enabled
- Opening a session with thousands of clips will no longer post a "Checking Clips for Clip Effects" message before reaching the Edit window
- Removed additional RAM usage when resizing a Pro Tools window on macOS

Plugins:
- Bouncing now only includes the main playlist instead of the auditioned playlist
- In certain cases, Pro Tools would crash when selecting Playlists from track views
- Starting and stoping playback repeatedly would lead to SWOD in sessions with "Scaler 2" loaded
- Pro Tools will no longer hang when dragging and dropping a file from Workspace into an AAX plugin on Windows

- Creating a memory location via CreateMemoryLocation API will no longer interrupt playback if transport is running
- Execution time of the SetTrackHiddenState, SetTrackInactiveState, SetTrackRecordEnableState, SetTrackSoloState APIs will no longer depend on the amount of tracks in the session
- Removed the duplicate line of code from the example ptslcmd.cpp file

Routing and I/O Setup:
- In certain cases, batch assigning of a large number of Instrument tracks would fail to complete
- A SWOD/crash would occur when changing MIDI output selector assignment of an Instrument track that has a plug-in with multiple ports loaded
- The gold text color in track output menus is now divided between master faders and routable tracks. Master faders will only see gold if another master fader is using a bus, and the reverse is true for routable tracks

Synchronization:

UI:
- The vertical scrollbar of MIDI Editor window would not be displayed correctly

Video:
- Window Configurations are now saved when the Video Window is touching the top Finder menu bar or when its set to Full Screen
- Pro Tools Studio no longer asks to enable the video engine on session open after a video has been removed

Windows Audio:
- Fixed various issues related to switching Windows Audio Device or Playback Engine settings mid-session
- Pro Tools on Windows will no longer prevent audio devices from working with other applications

Workspace:
- Pro Tools would crashes when right-clicking in the blank area of the Location pane in Workspace
- Workspace audio file size metadata is now updated after a record pass if workspace is open
- If Workspace was displaying Session Audio Files, using the “Select All” command in the Clips list would causes a temporary SWOD

Miscellaneous:
- The "Delete Current Settings" OK/Cancel buttons are reversed in preset menus
- A two character search now works in the Preferences window
- Floating window will be properly closed when trying to close it via hotkey after the window has been minimized to the dock on macOS
- Plugins search textbox would not update when typing.
- BWF WAV files are no longer generated as RF64, unless they exceed 4GB in size. Recorded files can once again be imported into Apple Music
