Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system. Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Cocktail 16.3.3.

What's new in this version:

- Addresses an issue in which the application may crash when clearing CVMS and core symbolication daemon caches
- Addresses an issue in which VoiceOver may stop working after clearing Audio components cache
- Fixed an issue where the application displayed the "Interrupted system calls" message
- Fixed a problem where some lines of the Activity Log could be damaged
- The "Perform essential system maintenance" feature and Pilot now prevents sleep mode while running
- Communication with some components of macOS could sometimes be misinterpreted as alleged hang of the application. To avoid this, some user interface elements have been changed over to asynchronous behavior
- XPC Helper Agent cache is now forced to be rebuilt even if System Integrity Protection is enabled
- Resolves a number of other issues discovered in the previous release
