How to Use
There are several ways to use ChatGPT for macOS, depending on your specific use case and technical expertise. Here are a few general steps to get started:
- Obtain an API key from OpenAI. This is required to access the model through the OpenAI API, which allows you to send prompts to the model and receive generated text in response.
- Choose a programming language and framework to use for making API calls. You can use various languages like Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Write code to send prompts to the API and receive the generated text. You can use the official OpenAI API client library for your chosen language, or send HTTP requests manually.
- Use the generated text in your application. Some possibilities include displaying the text in a chat interface, using it as input to other processes, or training the model further on your own data.
- If you have a large dataset and you want to fine-tune the service on your own data, you can use OpenAI's GPT-3 fine-tuning library called GPT-3 Sandbox, it can help you to fine-tune the model with your own data and use it in your application.
Review
ChatGPT is a powerful language model that can generate human-like text. It can be used for a wide range of applications such as content creation, language translation, and conversational AI. Which launched in November 2022, has quickly gained a reputation as an innovative way to interact with Artificial Intelligence. With millions of users worldwide, the application represents a glimpse into the future of human-AI interaction.
The application, which is separate from the main project, allows users to interact with the AI in the same way as on the website. To use it, you'll first need to log in with your existing account, or create one on the official website. After logging in, you'll be presented with an overview of the tool's capabilities and limitations on the homepage.
It is worth noting that the app is still in its early stages, and may occasionally generate incorrect information, produce biased content, or provide harmful instructions. Additionally, it is limited in its knowledge of events that occurred after 2021.
One of the major strengths of the app is its ability to generate high-quality, coherent text. It can continue a given text prompt and generate several paragraphs of text that are semantically consistent and grammatically correct.
However, It also has some limitations. As a language model, it struggles with tasks that require understanding the underlying meaning or context of text. It also has limited ability to handle rare or out-of-vocabulary words, and sarcasm. Additionally, it can show bias that was inherited from the data it was pre-trained on.
Overall, The webapp is a useful tool for generating text, but it should be used with caution. It's important to review the generated text and make sure it is accurate and appropriate before using it.

What are the ChatGPT Limitations?
- Lack of commonsense reasoning: GPT models struggle with tasks that require understanding the underlying meaning or context of text.
- Limited ability to handle rare or out-of-vocabulary words: GPT models are pre-trained on a large corpus of text and may not have seen some words during their training. This can lead to errors or inaccuracies when generating text for those words.
- Limited ability to handle multiple languages: GPT models are trained on a specific language and may not perform well when generating text in other languages.
- Limited ability to handle negative language and sarcasm: GPT models may not be able to understand nuances in text such as sarcasm or irony, which can lead to errors in generating text.
- Limited ability to handle some structured data: GPT is designed to work with unstructured text, it may not work well with structured data, such as spreadsheet or tables.
- Bias in the pre-training data: GPT models are trained on a large corpus of text, which can contain biases. These biases can be transferred to the generated text, which can lead to inaccuracies and harmful stereotypes.
It is a Free (for now). Access to the chatbot, like other GPT models, is provided through the OpenAI API, which is a paid service. OpenAI offers a free tier of usage, which allows for a limited number of API calls per month and a limited set of features. For heavier usage or access to additional features, you will need to sign up for a paid plan.
Additionally, OpenAI also provide GPT-3 Sandbox, which is a free tool for fine-tuning GPT-3 models on custom data, but it's still in Beta version.
It's worth noting that if you want to use the pre-trained model like Chat GPT for your own task, in addition to the cost for the API, you will need access to computational resources and a certain level of expertise in language processing and machine learning to fine-tune the model and use it effectively.
