Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Fission 2.9.2.

What's new in this version:

- Modified Colors (Again!). Following user feedback, we’ve further refined Fission’s updated colors. Blue is back, and we’ve made other improvements on changes first introduced in version 2.9.
- A New Start Window Setting. Fission now offers a new “Automatically show Start window” setting in the “Settings” window. It’s enabled by default, and causes the Start window to open automatically when all other windows in Fission are closed. When disabled, the Start window be shown only once each time the app is launched.
- Fission will now confirm your intentions if you attempt to open 11+ files by dropping them onto the app’s Start window
- Several improvements have been made to VoiceOver compatibility in Fission, including improvements to the “Set Selection” dialog, playback controls, and much more
- The zero dB center line has been restored to Fission’s waveforms
- The Start window’s dropzone has been improved, making it possible to drop onto the entire window
- All buttons in Fission’s bottom toolbar now have tooltips
- Timestamps are now shown with fixed-width characters
- Clicking the Start window’s “Read Manual” button no longer incorrectly closes the Start window
- The “Debugging” window now contains a helpful link to a support article
