Author / Product
Join anywhere from any device and get unlimited 4K video meetings with up to 800 participants, screen sharing, group messaging, and video recording.
TrueConf for macOS symmetric conferences can show up to 36 on-screen participants on desktops and up to 9 users on mobiles in a mode where everyone can see and hear each other simultaneously.
This mode is specifically intended for group education purposes. Its major feature is that only one participant (the lecturer) can be seen and heard by other users who stay fully focused on the class.
The lecturer, on the other hand, can see and hear all participants and is able to communicate with them if need be.
Features and Highlights
Self-hosted and secure
Connect your application to TrueConf Server to get the most of your video conferencing system. Try the free version to connect up to 12 users in a single conference, or choose the full version that provides additional integration opportunities and can operate over LAN or VPN networks.
Voice activation and speaker highlighting
Enable voice activation and the speaker’s video will automatically be enlarged during the conference, so you no longer need to be distracted by manually switching the settings during the meeting. Additionally, the active speaker’s video can automatically be highlighted with a color frame to help recognize the speaker.
Call mobile and landline numbers
Say hello, even if your colleagues aren’t on TrueConf. Get affordable international calling to mobiles and landlines anytime.
Far-end peripherals control
Conference owners and moderators can mute and unmute remote cameras and mics, drop participants from the meeting, assign speakers and attendees, and exchange messages - all of it can be done by right-clicking participants’ videos.
Virtual background for any occasion
Thanks to chromakey support, you can replace the plain background or painted wall behind you with any image of your choice. For example, your favorite beach photo or your company logo.

If you are looking for TrueConf for Mac alternatives, we recommend you to download Webex for Mac or Zoom for Mac.
