Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Sonos 7.2.

What's new in this version:

Control your new PLAYBASE:
- This coming April, Sonos will release a new home theater PLAYBASE designed specifically for TVs that are displayed on stands and furniture. Its 10-speaker array is optimized with unique sound profiles for movies and music–you’ll experience an extremely wide soundstage and intense, realistic sound effects when your TVs is on, and clear, immersive stereo music when it’s off. This update is required for set up and control of PLAYBASE from your Sonos app.

A “child lock” for your touch panel:
- Every Sonos speaker features touch controls or buttons that let you select songs and adjust volume when your app’s not handy. But there are moments when what seems like a great feature doesn’t quite work out that way. Like when your cat snuggles down on your PLAY:5 and it skips to the next-next-next song. Or your toddler discovers how to crank the volume up loud enough to wake the neighbors. (Hey, true stories from our customers.) Now you can avoid these kinds of incidents. Just go to Menu > Room Settings, choose the room your speaker’s located in and deactivate the Speaker Touch Controls.
