- Added support for AirPlay 2 to Sonos One, Sonos Beam, Playbase, and Play:5 (2nd generation). Group any Sonos player with an AirPlay-enabled speaker to use AirPlay anywhere in your home. Use Siri + AirPlay from your iPhone or iPad after adding your Sonos speakers in the Apple Home App
- Added software support for Sonos Beam - the smart, compact soundbar for your TV
- It is now possible to use Trueplay on the iPad 6
- Improvements to system status messages, including the ability to display full screen messages and smaller notifications in certain states (like loss of network connection)
- Creating a Sonos account linked to an email address is now required. Creating a Sonos account lets you add more speakers, get new features, and safely and securely integrate with your streaming apps. Learn more about Sonos accounts here
