Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system.

Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of Evernote 10.8.4.

What's new in this version:

New:
- The ‘toggle view’ keyboard shortcuts are back! Cycle through snippets, cards, top list, or side list with just a few keystrokes using Ctrl (Windows) / Shift (Mac) + F5/F6/F7/F8
- We added a new keyboard shortcut! Open a new note window from anywhere on your desktop (even if Evernote is in the background) by pressing Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-N on Mac, or Ctrl-Alt-N on Windows
- We added a new keyboard shortcut! Open an Evernote search from anywhere on your desktop (even if Evernote is in the background) by pressing Ctrl-Cmd-V on Mac, or Ctrl-Alt-V on Windows
- Don’t like the way a global keyboard shortcut is set up? Change it! You can now edit global keyboard shortcuts to find the perfect combination of characters. Access the keyboard shortcuts menu by using Ctrl/Cmd + /
- You can now right-click on tags in the sidebar for quick access to more options
- Tagging is now even easier. Drag a note from the note list and drop it onto a tag in the sidebar to apply that tag
- If you’ve added a tag to your shortcuts, any tags nested under it will now also appear in that list
- You can now drag-and-drop tags in the sidebar to create nested tags. It’s one more way to stay organized
- You told us you want external links in your notes to open the first time you click them. So we made it happen
- Stability and performance improvements

Fixed:
- Miscellaneous bug fixes
