The built-in OCR tool is especially useful for the conversion of locked PDF files that are not allowing users to edit or print them. With a single click, this app can convert large PDF files page by page and extract from them their text, layout, embedded images, and save them into any of the supported file formats.
Convert PDFs to Other Formats
- PDF to Word
- PDF to Excel
- PDF to PPT
- PDF to Images
- PDF to HTML
- PDF to XML
- PDF to Text
- PDF to PDF/A
What this app cannot help with are fully locked files that require a password to even open their contents for viewing. Such restricted documents can be converted only when the authorized password is entered.
As long as UPDF Converter can access document files, it can convert them either with full access or via visual scanning. The app supports all major document file formats that are in use today such as Word, Excel, PDF, PTT, HTML, Text, and image files (jpg, gif, png, bmp, and tiff). And since it can reliably and quickly extract document data from non-editable sources, it can even convert pictures of documents (for example pictures taken with a smartphone) into fully editable files.
