When you add new passwords to your account, the app encrypts the stored data using your Master Password, the password you enter each time you unlock your RememBear for macOS. Choosing a strong, unique Master Password to protect your program is an important step to keeping your passwords safe. To reinforce this point, the app provides tips and an evaluation bar to show you just how secure your Master Password is while you setup your account.

Designing Remem Bear as an implementation of end-to-end encryption, gave us the opportunity to consider all the threats a password manager could face while storing and syncing logins between a device and a server, which we secure but don’t trust.
