IDMarkz for Mac is a streamlined conversion and file preview utility that allows macOS users to easily convert their Adobe InDesign projects into a wide variety of other popular non-proprietary image file formats.

Since many users across the world still hold their valuable files in INDD (or INDT InDesign Template) file format, those image and photo creations can today be more effectively used when loaded in other image editing software that sometimes does not support InDesign formats. The app supports effortless previewing of InDesign files (without the need for those files to have embedded preview data), with unrestricted zooming and crisp text.

Many Mac users have for years organized their image editing workflow around InDesign and have also received numerous InDesign files from online resources, clients, and collaborative partners. These files can now be converted and previewed affordably with IDMarkz, a lightweight and streamlined app for all modern versions of macOS. IDMarkz can integrate fully into Finder, enabling new context menu options and full thumbnail previews.

In addition to manually performing the conversion service (which can target any of the officially supported target formats such as IDML, PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, and GIF), users can also gain the ability to export the file as a PDF that fully supports annotation. This means that an InDesign file can be annotated by the user, their employer, clients, or collaborative partners, and then imported back into InDesign, retaining all the editing marks and comments.

It enables you to export InDesign files to numerous non-proprietary file types, including IDML, PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, and GIF. Open .INDD and .INDT (InDesign Template) files in an earlier version of InDesign or in another application!

IDMarkz for macOS also supports a notable tool for automation and speeding up of user’s workflow. The app can automatically convert the INDD files into any of the supported target formats. The automation options are easily accessible in their own tab in the Preferences window. In addition to that, users can also take advantage of the Document Inspector, a nice gadget that creates a high-level summary of each loaded file with data such as file type, version, size, creation date, modification date, page count, spread count, page size, font, color and more.
