Sometimes latest versions of the software can cause issues when installed on older devices or devices running an older version of the operating system. Software makers usually fix these issues but it can take them some time. What you can do in the meantime is to download and install an older version of f.lux 36.8.

What's new in this version:

What's new:
- Fix for a battery drain issue on some machines
- Fix for flashing with "movie mode" on some machines
- Updated Sparkle (automatic updater)
- Now 10.7 minimum (and 64-bit only) due to the Sparkle update
- Support for "big" latitudes where the sun doesn't set or rise some days

What's not fixed on all machines (outside our control):
- White spots on video
- Issues with "automatic brightness" (e.g., darkroom appears not to work on some models with it on, still), but this is getting better with dot-revs.
- Finally, if you are still having trouble with "automatic brightness", we added a pref for testing a fix we made earlier, which is now off. To use, type this to the Terminal: "defaults write org.herf.Flux ambientfix 1", and restart f.lux.
